Pasadena Chihuahuas

The Chihuahua has a diverse personality. They are happy little dogs, extremely affectionate and devoted to their owners. In spite of their small size Chihuahuas are brave to the point of foolhardiness with larger dogs They have curious idiosyncrasies in that not only are their coats odourless, but they have long been associated with helping and curing asthma sufferers.

Purely out of interest I would like to recite a story I wrote many years ago. Did you know that it is alleged that "Man's Best Friend" the tiny Chihuahua is a cure for asthma?

Chihuahuas on account of their size have been endowed with very acute hearing and therefore make effective watchdogs, alerting their owners to visitors or prowlers.

Chihuahuas are highly intelligent and have characters of their own. Most, if reprimanded, will crawl away and sulk. They are probably the only breed of dog that will cry real tears when scolded or upset. They have been known to bring an empty water or food dish and lay it at their owner's feet and also to "sing", alerting one that the telephone is ringing.

My Chihuahuas sing whenever the doorbell is rung. If given enough blankets they will completely cover themselves before dropping off to sleep. They are easily house-trained; one in fact learned to use a cat-box as the owner lived in an apartment. They can be taught to do tricks and do very well in obedience training classes.
